As the largest IC distributor for MediaTek's handset chips in China, WPG Holdings' marketing vice president Chuen-Jie Lin believes that multimedia-rich handsets will be the mainstream through 2009, and growing demand for embedded USB ports, mobile TV and dual-power supplies will become key design trends in the future.

By the end of 2003, I knew that I needed to focus more on talent management application vendors. So, I made the decision to get more detailed foundation research out on talent management applications so I put the HRMS research on the backburner for a while. In 2004, Gartner introduced a new note type called a MarketScope to complement Magic Quadrants. MarketScopes were intended to be used for early stage as well as late stage markets. Opium production increased to nearly 9,000 tonnes in 2007, the highest level for years, according to a United Nations annual “World Drug Report” published on Thursday June 26th. The only country to use more than it did a century ago is America. Read more (The Economist/Image: Getty Images)
